Save Me a Seat
By Gita Varadarajan and Sarah Weeks
Perspective. Sometimes that is what everyone needs. This book is written from two different kids’ point of view. One boy named Ravi is transitioning from India to New Jersey. He went from the top of his class, athletic and most popular boy to sitting alone at lunch. Joe is a 5th grade boy who just lost his two best friends. These two could not be any more different. Now they are both the victim of a school bully.
This book is so good for kids to read. Hopefully, it forces them to think about how their words and actions can impact others.
Ages: 8-12
